Obituary for Allen Quinn


Mr. Allen Quinn, 79, of Harrisburg departed this life Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born May 4, 1940 in Fulton, Mississippi the son of Alger and Willie Marie (Lowery) Quinn. Allen married Peggy Holcomb on November 5, 1961 and they have enjoyed fifty-seven years of marriage. He was a preacher/pastor most of his life, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Allen was preceded in death by parents, one son, Terry, four brothers: Billy, Marshall, Jimmy, and Gene Quinn, one sister, Joyce Justice, and one great-grandson, Chris Crawford. He is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home in Harrisburg, two sons: Steven Quinn of Harrisburg and Greg Quinn of Fulton, New York, one daughter, Rhonda (Quinn) Locke of Wetumpka, Alabama, one sister, Ollie Megee of Monette, Arkansas,, one brother, Charles Quinn of Manila, Arkansas, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at Greenfield Baptist Church Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 1:00 P. M. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
