Obituary for Freddie Joe Blansett

Freddie Joe Blansett, 78, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Friday, July 12, 2019 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Delaplaine, Arkansas on December 13, 1940 the son of Boots and Pauline (Williams) Blansett. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary (Thompson) Blansett, his daughter, Duranda (Blansett) Hamilton, and one brother, Jimmy Blansett. If you knew Joe you knew he was a “Jack-of-all-trades” if you had something that needed to be fixed, he was your man. His number one hobby was fishing, and he loved to visit with friends and family. Joe is survived by one son, Travis Blansett, two daughters: Fonda House and Lorene (Whitlatch) Hubbard all of Harrisburg, three brothers: Carroll Blansett and Otis Blansett both of Black Oak, Arkansas, and Ricky Blansett of Henderson, Arkansas, three sisters: Jackie (Blansett) Russell of Bono, Arkansas, Linda (Blansett) Dempsey of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas and Gracie Hall of Wynne, Arkansas, eight grandchildren: Zack Blansett, Jeremy Blansett, Caleb Blansett, Chassie DeSpain, Shan Chesier, Tori Stone, Cody Strange, and Rhett Hubbard, and five great-grandchildren. The family and their church family will host a Memorial Visitation/Service at Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, Arkansas on Monday, July 15 from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
