Edward  Seaton
Mr. Edward G. Seaton of Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the age of 89. He was born June 17, 1930 in Pittsfield, Illinois, the son of William Mundell Seaton, and Flora Belle (House) Seaton.
Ed loved flying. He was a licensed flight instructor and examiner. His flying career included that of the Flight Instructor, Corporate Pilot, and Crop Duster. In 2017, he was presented with the Federal Aviation Administration’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for his professionalism, skill, and expertise as a pilot for more than 50 years. Ed was a United States Army Air Corp veteran, where he was stationed in Guam and Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Mundell Seaton, his mother, Flora Belle House Seaton; one brother, William Everett Seaton; and four sisters, Ellen Doty, Florence Pohlmann, Virginia McGhee, and Ollie Croquart.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel and Richard Seaton; four daughters, Lisa Waller, Terry Griffith, Georgia Wall, and Brandy Brunson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Sally O'Connell.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, Friday at 2:00 p.m.
