Obituary for Phillip Dale Lindsey

Phillip Dale  Lindsey
Mr. Phillip Dale Lindsey of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the age of 67. He was born May 3, 1951 in Newport, the son of Cecil George and Ruth (Mason) Lindsey.
Phillip was a special child of God, who loved his family and never forgot anyone he met. He was very social, and considered everyone a friend. Phillip loved listening to country music and Elvis, and watching the Gene Williams Show. He was of the Baptist belief.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, C. Charles Lindsey; and one sister, Georgia Ann Stone.
He is survived by two brothers, Fred James Lindsey and wife, Nettie, of Newport, and Steven Kent Lindsey and wife, Glenna, of Lake City; three sisters, Irma Jean Shoffner of Maumelle, Mary Evelyn Bailey and husband, Lloyd, of Sherwood, and Lois Marie Wallis of Nixa, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Billy Ed Morris and Bro. Bill Chambers officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chad Wallis, Rick Stone, Brian Lindsey, Darian Lindsey, Randy Hunt, and Jacky Mason. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Guilford Dudley and his staff.

Phillip’s family would like to thank the staff of Lindley Healthcare and Rehab for their loving care.
