Mr. Charles Edward Shaw of Thida, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday May 12, 2018, at the age of 82. He was born October 17, 1935, in Thida, Arkansas, the son of Charles E. “Joe” and Grace Pollard Shaw. Mr. Shaw married Bonnie Bailey Shaw on August 8, 1979 and they enjoyed 38 years of marriage together.
Mr. Shaw graduated from Oil Trough High School in 1954 and was a retired self employed carpenter and farmer. He was of the Baptist faith, and loved to go hunting, fishing and trapping. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid baseball fan.
Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Glenneth, Homer, and James Shaw; three sisters, Juanita Luter, Betty Oglesby, Martha Jane Shaw; one step grandchild, Brylee Verser.
He is survived by wife, Bonnie Bailey Shaw, of the home; one son, Joe and wife, Brianna, of Thida; one grandchild, Hunter Shaw; two step grandchildren, Jayden Finney and Katie Smithee; two step great-grandchildren, Brileigh Marlin and Brecken Smithee; one nephew Rue Luter; two special nieces, Cindy Wolfe and Debbie Skasick.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Friends may visit at church Tuesday 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Brown Memorial Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bob Crabtree, Jacob Hutchinson, Barry Hale, Chad Crabtree, Willis Crabtree, Carthage Due. Honorary pallbearers are Jim McAdams, Eric McAdams, Tommy Bain, Cody Cook, Jason Ruddle, J. R. Crabtree, Don Shaw and Dr. Qveil.
