Annie Huskey-Dawson
Mrs. Annie (Hollaway) Huskey Dawson of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born November 23, 1916, at Tyronza, the daughter of the late Joe Perry Hollaway and Martha Jane Stewart Hollaway.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Tuckerman First Baptist Church. Annie loved her Lord with all her heart and served Him through her Baptist faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family dearly and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, tending to her yard and gardening. She found delight in cooking, quilting and embroidery, often making gifts for others from her works of art. Her family is blessed that she lived a healthy and happy life for 101 wonderful years.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Aubrey Earl Huskey, son Aubrey Dean Huskey, daughter Geraldine Huskey Powell and one great-grandson Clayton Powell, second husband Clyde Dawson, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, Palma “Bubba” Huskey and his wife Pam of Hopewell, Arkansas; two daughters, Debbie Robinson and husband Ike of Quitman, Arkansas and Cathy Holt and husband Sidney of Tuckerman, Arkansas and one son-in-law Sonny Powell of Heber Springs, Arkansas. Nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces and countless friends also survive her.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randy Holt, Noah Holt, Jason Smith, Dylan Smith, Brandon Smith, and Seth Harper. Honorary pallbearers are William Hollaway, Sammy Hollaway, and Ronnie Malone.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lindley Healthcare and Rehab for their care of Annie.
