Mrs. Helen Louise (Gossage) Holder of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born November 19, 1933 at Cash, the daughter of William Alva and Myrtle (Johnson) Gossage. Miss Helen Louise Gossage married Mr. Paul Daniel Holder on February 23, 1950, and together they spent 68 years.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed yard work, gardening, and crossword puzzles. Mrs. Holder was a humble, selfless woman, who cared for others above all, often putting herself last. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Holder was a member of Abiding Faith Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Boyce Holder; two daughters, Gloria Kay Worthington and Beverly Comer; and two sisters, Faye Cook and Mickey Armour.
Mrs. Holder is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul Daniel Holder of the home; one son, Tim Holder and wife, Diane, of Flushing, Michigan; one brother, Bo Gossage and wife, Earlene of Cash; seven grandchildren, Carolyn Bain and husband, Jeff, of Swifton, Shannon Comer of Flushing, Michigan, Cory Patrick of Flushing, Michigan, Chad Comer and wife, Crystal of Temperance, Michigan, Danny Worthington and wife, Shawna, of Swifton, Tina Wallis and husband, Phil of Montrose, Michigan, and Kendra Jourdin of Roscoe, Illinois; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Abiding Faith, with Bro. Thomas Patterson and Mr. Lonnie Hohn officiating. Interment will follow in Arnold Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shannon Comer, Chad Comer, Danny Worthington, Dylan Bain, Jeffery Bain, and Phil Wallis. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Daniels and Cory Patrick.
