Mrs. Louisa Caroline “Carrie” (Oberg) Cook, 97, of Griffithville, Arkansas departed this life Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at The Crossing at Riverside Health and Rehab in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born January 19, 1921 in Greenfield, Arkansas the daughter of William and Elma (Marshall) Oberg. Miss Carrie Oberg married Mr. James T. “Bill” Cook on October 3, 1941 and they enjoyed sixty-three years of marriage before his passing in 2005. Carrie was preceded in death by her parents: William and Elma Oberg, her husband, James T. “Bill” Cook, one son, James Hubert Cook, one daughter, Virginia Glass, one brother, John Oberg, and two sisters: Elta Coventington and Ruby Nell Fortson. She is survived by two daughters: Carol Son of West Memphis, Arkansas and Henrietta Fischer of Griffithville, Arkansas, one sister, Mary Carroll of Chandler, Texas, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2:00 P. M. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home with visitation from 12:30 until service time. Bro. Kenny McMahan, Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Harrisburg will conduct the service. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
