Harry Paul Clampit, 74, of Conway, departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. Paul was born on May 5, 1943 in Harrisburg to the late Clayton and Ivy (Dean) Clampit. Paul married his “sweetie” Michelle on November 18, 1978 and they enjoyed thirty-nine years together. Paul was a graduate of the University of Arkansas earning a Masters of Electrical Engineering. He retired in 2002 from AT&T. Paul was also an avid amateur radio operator (K5TCK), receiving his first license at age thirteen. He was a member of Salem UMC, where he enjoyed operating the sound system. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Henry Clampit. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Clampit, two daughters, Jami Weese (Don), and Loi Booher (Terry) all of Conway, one sister, Pauline Schutte (Ron) of Baldwin, MO, sister-in-law, Brenda Clampit and nephew Matthew Clampit, and five grandchildren: Caitlin, Seth, Caleb, Areli and Mila, cousins, Dianne Sterling and Sam Lehman. Funeral services are 2:00 Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00. Mr. James McAlister will conduct the service. Pallbearers will be Terry Booher, Don Weese, Nino Barello, Seth Woods, Caleb Woods, and Alex Arostegui. Interment will be at Farm Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
