Joe Burns Russell, Jr., 63, of Benton, Kentucky departed this life Wednesday, November 22 in Marshall County, Kentucky. He was born April 15, 1954 in Jonesboro the son of Joe Sr., and Barbara (Chaplain) Russell. He worked as a pipefitter welder for local union #184 in Paducah, was a 32nd degree Master Mason, and a 1973 graduate of Nettleton High School where he was known for his talent in football and art. Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rudy C. and Joanna Russell, May Agnus (Snell) Chaplain, Ralph Chaplain, and step-grandmother, Pauline (Willliams) Russell, sister, Barbara Christine (Russell) Green, and son, Anthony Joe Russell. He is survived by his parents: Joe Sr. and Barbara (Chaplain) of Harrisburg, brother and sister, Ralph C. Russell of Harrisburg and Joyce Ann (Russell) Dew of Jonesboro, four children: Joanna Mechele (Shelly) (Russell) Anderson and spouse Jeffery of Jonesboro, Adam Caleb Russell of Coal City, Illinois, Wesley Robert Russell of Paducah, Kentucky and Joshua Michael Russell of Paducah, and four grandchildren: Aynabeth Lauren Anderson of Jonesboro, Jackson Beaumont Anderson of Jonesboro, Caleb Joe Russell of Philadelphia, PA and Dawson Joe Russell of Paducah, Ky. Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home from 5:00 ~ 7:00. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
