Mickey J. Harrison, 62, of Harrisburg departed this life Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mickey was born March 4, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of J. B. and Maurine (Tillery) Harrison. Mickey married Linda Jarrett on May 16, 1979 and they have enjoyed thirty-eight years together. Mickey worked thirty-one years for the City of Harrisburg Water & Gas, was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Harrisburg, finished Harrisburg High School and Delta Vo-Tech in Small Engine repairs. He enjoyed “tinkering” that is putting things together or fixing things that needed to be fixed. Mickey truly enjoyed his coffee drinking buddies and spending time with family and friends.Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ricky Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Linda Harrison of the home in Harrisburg, one daughter, April and husband Larry Stevens of Harrisburg, one sister, Theresa and husband Ronnie Shaver of Jonesboro, two grandchildren: Sabra and Mallory Mason, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with visitation Friday from 6:00~8:00. Bro Jason Goad will conduct the service with these men serving as Active Pallbearers: David Wallace, Wayne Tillery, Phil Burkett, Windell Holder, Howard Suthrlen, and Roger McClain. These are the Honorary Pallbearers: Carl Moore, Brandon Barnhoff, and the Harrisburg Water & Gas employees. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
