Mrs. Karen Beth (Collom) Sadler of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the age of 69. She was born March 10, 1948 in Newport, the daughter of Thomas and Gladys (Brown) Collom.
Mrs. Sadler was a graduate of Tuckerman High School where she was prom queen, and a Tuckerman Bulldog athlete. She led the Bulldogs to state three years in a row, and earned All State Honors.
Mrs. Sadler had a great work ethic, and spent her career as a waitress in fine dining establishments. She enjoyed crafting, and decorating her house. Mrs. Sadler was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who was fiercely protective of her children. She loved, more than anything, taking care of her family.
Mrs. Sadler was preceded in death by her daughter, Danielle Bethany Pemberton; one brother, Thomas Collom; and her father, Thomas Collom.
She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, James Clyde Sadler of Newport; her mother, Gladys Collom of Newport two sons, Kevin Derek Sexton of Illinois and Christopher Shane Sexton of Texas; one brother, James Collom of Newport; one sister, Kathy Gregory of Newport; and five grandchildren, Cody Lee Sexton of Oak Harbor, Washington, Alecxander Sexton of Oak Harbor, Washington, Adam Alonzo of Seattle, Washington, Olivia Sexton of Dallas, Texas, and Bryson Sexton of Dallas, Texas.
