Obituary for Danny Fears

Danny Fears
Mr. Danny Ray Fears of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the age of 63. He was born July 21, 1954 in Black Rock, Arkansas, the son of Roy and Betty Louise Whitlow Fears.

Mr. Fears was a 1972 graduate of Swifton High School and a member of the Swifton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Danny married Miss Kathy Carol Eldridge on February 2, 1973. He worked at American Lantern, Norandal and Arkansas Steel. Danny loved to play and coach softball. His other hobbies included fishing, hunting and going to auctions. Danny’s greatest love in life was his family. He loved spending time with them.

Mr. Fears was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bobby Fears and Bill Fears.

He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Kathy Eldridge Fears of the home; son, Chris Fears, and wife, Amber, of Swifton; daughter, Becky Riley, and husband, Bobby of Beebe; four brothers, Thomas Fears and wife, Donna, of Shady Cove, Oregon, Charlie Fears and wife, Reba, of Swifton, Michael Fears and wife, Kim, of Bradford, Gary Fears of Walnut Ridge; sister, Donna Fears of Swifton; grandchildren, Hannah Garrett, Joshua Garrett, Garren Fears, Jamy Fears, and Emma Fears; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Everett Richardson, Rick Bradley, Chris Morgan, Ronny Templeton, Brad Beard, Chuck Fears, Greg Eldridge and Ed Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Hayes, Larry Templeton, and Mike Critcher.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Swifton Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Stranger’s Home Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday 5:00-8:00 p.m.
