Syble Burnham

Mrs. Syble (Barker) Vaughn Burnham of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the age of 92. She was born July 27, 1925 at Swifton, the daughter of Jesse and Deasy (Berry) Barker.
Mrs. Burnham was a homemaker, and a member of the Swifton Assembly of God. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and working in her yard. Mrs. Burnham was a wonderful cook, and spent time cooking and canning.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, D.C. Vaughn; one son, Dannie Vaughn; three brothers, Joe Barker, Jesse Barker, and Clarence Barker; and four sisters, Cilla Husket, Ivy Koller, Bertha Lee Romine, and Minerva Stewart.
Mrs. Burnham is survived by her husband of 52 years, O.M. Burnham of Swifton; two sons, Randall Burnham and wife, Dorothy, of Wichita, Kansas, and Gregory Allen Burnham and wife, Carol, of Wichita, Kansas; four daughters, Brenda Vaughn Hunt of Walnut Ridge, Diane “Cricket” Vaughn of Walnut Ridge, Laura Weatherford and husband, Roy of Port Noches, Texas, and Debbie Burnham Snetzer and husband, Fred, of Diaz; two sisters, Julie Keedy of Cash and Jo Gale of Georgia; eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Friends may visit at the Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, beginning at 12:30. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with interment at Swifton Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randall Burnham, Gregory Burnham, Roy Weatherford, Mark VanBrook, Chris Vaughn, Ed Romine, Adam Hunt, Brande Davis, and Matthew VanBrook.
