Obituary for Greba Edens

Greba Edens
Miss Greba June Edens of Bradford, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the age of 92. She was born June 24, 1925, in Magness, to Walkter and Fannie (Ford) Edens.
Greba June was a long-time member of the Bradford Church of Christ. She taught fourth grade at Bradford Public Schools, retiring after 35 years of service.
Greba June was a devoted servant to the city of Bradford, elected as recorder and treasurer for nearly 30 years, retiring in 2015. She also served as acting mayor of Bradford for a time in the ‘90’s while the mayor was serving in Iraq.
Her love for Bradford was also evident in her support of the fire and police departments. Additionally, she was a founding member of the Bradford Fun Fest, serving from 1983 until 2014.
Greba June was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister, Eris Edens.
She is survived by many friends and family. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bradford Church of Christ, with interment following in Heard Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church Saturday morning, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Ray, Dennis Whitener, Billy Burris, Bill Fies, Claude Money, Keith Edens, Nicholas Dunn, Arthur Dunn, Donald Swiney, McKinley Goad, David Lock and Dale Goad.
