Bonnie  Cannon (Steele)

Bonnie Jean (Graham) Cannon, 87, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life and went to be with the keeper of the stars on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born in Parkin, Arkansas on January 31, 1930 the daughter of James Edward and Lena Irene (Steele) Graham.
Preceding her in death were her parents: James and Lena Irene, her husband, James Delmer Cannon, one son, Leo Russell (Butch) DeVries, two brothers: Wilburn Graham and Odell (Brandy) Turner, one sister, Wilma Graham.
Bonnie was a sweet mother that took good care of her children, a homemaker, and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Harrisburg. In years past she was an active member of the Home Demonstration Club and enjoyed it very much. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons: Jimmy and wife Joyce DeVries of Paragould, Russell and wife Deborah DeVries of Harrisburg, two daughters: Linda and husband Mike Tubbs of Augusta, Lorrie DeVries of Jonesboro, two sisters: Alice Whitney of Jonesboro and Betty Eastin of Harrisburg, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one daughter in law, Janet DeVries.
Bro. Jason Goad, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church conducted the service with the family members serving as pallbearers. Visitation was Friday from 10:00 until service time at 11:00 A. M. at Jackson’s Funeral Home. Interment was in Farm Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
