Obituary for Dean Hubbard

Mr. Dean Hubbard of Grubbs, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at the age of 89. He was born November 29, 1927 in Jackson County, the son of Arthur and Agnes (Hulen) Hubbard.
Mr. Hubbard was a self-employed farmer, who also worked maintenance at Grubbs High School many years. He was Chief of the Grubbs Fire Department several years ago, and enjoyed gardening, mowing, and loved his cat, “Tom”. Mr. Hubbard was a member of Grubbs Church of Christ, where he served in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher, song leader, and Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Sue (Woodruff) Hubbard; and his parents.
Mr. Hubbard is survived by one son, Mike Hubbard and wife, Betty, of Grubbs; two daughters, Chris Sutherland and husband, Roger, of Grubbs, and Sandy Higgins and husband, David, of Campbell Station; one sister, Irma Jean Hicks and husband, Michael, of Benton; one brother-in-law, Jr. Woodruff of Mississippi; six grandchildren, Karie Lewis, Don Hubbard and wife, Carla, Deavan Hughes and husband, Ty, Matthew McCoy and wife, Stella, Dustin Higgins, Megan Benish and husband, Matt; ten great-grandchildren, Leslie, Kailie, Austin, Dylan, Charleigh, Destiny, Jaxson, Korey, Everlie, and Emmarie; and three great-great grandchildren, Lexie, Layxten, and Mason.
