Brad Cook
Mr. Brad Arthur Lee Cook, of Newport, departed this life on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the age of 59. He was born October 12, 1957, the son of Leroy and Lorene (Sears) Cook.
Mr. Cook worked as an order filler at Walmart Distribution Center in Searcy, and was a member of First Christian Church. The straight forward, hard working man enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, gardening, and collecting old model trucks. One of his favorite hobbies was playing darts with his family.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia (Morgan) Cook of Newport; one son, Jason Bradley Cook of Searcy; one daughter, Lindsey Leighann McClellan of Newport; four brothers, Gerald Cook and wife, Cookie, of Jonesboro, Danny Cook and wife, Loretta, of Jonesboro, Stevie Cook and wife, Judy, of Jonesboro, and Roy Cook and wife, Kay, of Jonesboro; two sisters, Linda Henry and husband, Jim, of Williford, and Diane Freeman and husband, Terry of Malvern; four grandchildren, Hanna Cook, Madison Fletcher, Alex Forsman, and Sarah McClellan; his close friend, Chris McClellan; his mother-in-law, Margaret (Redd) Morgan of Newport; one brother-in-law, Raymond Morgan of Heber Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brent Morgan, Bryson Morgan, Chris McClellan, Danny Cook, Stevie Cook, and Gerald Cook.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
